Some of the best speakers ever bought : Pioneer TSD1602R 6.5 Inch Two-Way Speakers with 260 Watts Max Power

I purchased these for a 2001 Subaru Impreza Rs and if you are a subaru owner (at least older ones), you understand that our vehicles are comparable to driving colse to in a soda can (thin metal and lots of road noise). My old installation speakers were blown and I chose to replace them with these speakers. Despite what Amazon says, these will fit in the front door of the Impreza coupe with maybe about 1/4 inch of space in the middle of the rear and the window. The installation bracket do not have the same hole placement as these speakers but I chose to drill 4 holes that were slightly smaller in diameter than the in case,granted screws. The in case,granted template was exquisite for doing this and I was able to screw all 4 screws into the installation bracket with ease. I chose to run these through a Pioneer Deh-6300Ub deck without an amp but despite this, these speakers were fantastic compared to the installation ones. The highs and mids are highly clear with the bass being slightly weaker prior to tweaks on the receiver. I purchased another set of 6.5 inch speakers artificial by Renegade ($25-30 speakers) and these blew them away. I would guess that if you used these in conjunction with an amp, it will sound even better.

I believe that these speakers are great for most citizen but understand that for about $20-40 more on Amazon, you could get component speakers, which will give you significantly best sound. I chose not to go that route because my car is loud and would need me to setup dynamat throughout the car in order for me to fully appreciate the sound components would produce. As of right now, I do not want to spend the time or money on installing dynamat. Overall, I am very satisfied with these speakers and would advise them.
